Freewheeling Adventures are active holidays for individuals and small groups, including bicycle tours, sea-kayak paddling trips, or multisport adventures. You can choose from guided, self-guided, or self-supported options and reserve your trip privately, join a group, or make special requests. You will find our service is exceptionally accommodating and our professional commitment is extraordinarily reliable.

Expect healthy, delicious meals, and inns or hotels of exceptional charm and comfort. Many of these active vacations are suitable for all abilities, thanks to attentive guides, small groups, and the reassurance of van support. While you ride your bike, paddle your kayak, do yoga, or walk along the coast, we support you with a vehicle containing varied picnics, spare equipment, and trained guides who will help you enjoy your vacation as much as is possible.

Canada: Nova Scotia
	South Shore Secrets Biking. Seakayak option	6 days. Relatively easy cycling close to the water and through small villages, including the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lunenburg. Quiet beaches, a hike to a coastal park, and a lighthouse each day!
	South Shore Family Frolic	5 days of cycling, hiking, swimming, and play, at a pace comfortable for families with children 4-14 yrs old.
	Bike The Cabot Trail	A 6-day, challenging cycling adventure on a paved 200-mile loop.
	Bay of Fundy Bike & Hike Seakayak and Raft options	7 days of escalating challenge, cycling, hiking, rafting, eagle-watching, and rock-hounding around the shores of the Bay of Fundy.
	Nova Scotia Multisport (with Family dates)	8 days of easy mixed activities including sea-kayaking, road and off-road cycling, hiking, sailing, swimming, canoeing, and inner-tubing. The family version is operated at a pace comfortable for children aged 6 to 15.
	Cape Breton Island Multisport Kayak, Bike & Hike	7-day adventure by sea-kayak, bike, and on foot, on Cape Breton Island, including Acadian Isle Madame, St. Peter’s Canal, Bras d’Or and Ainslie Lakes, and musical hotbed of Mabou.
	Yoga Retreat	From a peaceful yoga studio overlooking St. Margaret’s Bay, explore meditation, asana, and yogic philosophy, balanced with bicycle and kayak forays, and the nourishment of great food.
Canada: Nova Scotia Sea-Kayak
	Seakayak the South Shore	Six days visiting islands, beaches, and villages by seakayak. Nights in warm inns, with excellent cuisine.
	Seakayak Camp Outer Islands	5 days of sea-kayaking to wilderness islands, pristine beaches, and island campsites. Luggage support and supply drops by yacht or Zodiac.
	Seakayak Camp Inner Islands	2 days of leisurely paddling on the best routes of St. Margarets and Mahone Bays
	Seakayak Cape Breton Island	7-day adventure by sea-kayak, with nights in cozy inns. One final day of spectacular hiking.
Canada: PEI
	Bike the Sideroads	6 days, relatively easy cycling through PEI’s National Park, and lightly hilly cycling along the north and east coasts
	Confederation Trail Biking	6 days of relatively flat cycling almost entirely along the Confederation Trail. No traffic for most of the trip; a good unpaved cycling surface; fine inns; and excellent dining. A magical cycling experience!
	Family Cycling & Multisport	6 days. Cycling, sea-kayaking, walking, boat trips, swimming, and play, at a pace comfortable for children 4-14, and daily options for non-cyclists
	Seakayak the Coastline	Six days. Relatively easy paddling in the Island’s “hotspots”. Exquisite lodging and dining and opportunities to explore Anne of Green Gables and national park beaches.
Canada: Québec
	The Magdalen Islands Multisport	A 6-day, relaxed pace adventure by bike, sea-kayak and on foot, with added thrills of power kiting and sea-cave exploring, and other optional activities including cave swimming and snorkelling with seals. “Do” a different island each day. Excellent combined with Prince Edward Island cycling adventures, and a great choice for custom groups or families.
	Bas Saint Laurent Biking	A moderately easy 7-day cycle on quiet paved roads and bike paths, along the “Navigator’s Route’’ - the south shore of the Saint-Lawrence R. Includes several of “The Most Beautiful Villages of Québec,” and has superb cuisine.
	Saguenay & Charlevoix Multisport	An 8-day trip, with moderately paced cycling, challenging hiking, and easy kayaking. The cycling is on quiet paved roads and bike paths around Lac St-Jean, and through the Charlevoix region. This is a great choice for families.
	Bike The Eastern Townships	7 days. Hilly cycling through Quebec’s lovely south, with luxurious lodging, outstanding cuisine and the prettiest forests and farmscapes in Central Canada.
Canada: Alberta
	Waterton Lakes to Banff, Bike & Hike	7 days, cycling on paved roads, with a day of hiking. Challenging terrain, with long distances for energetic riders and shorter distances with vehicle assistance for more relaxed riders.
	Bike & Hike the Icefields Parkway	7 days. Challenging cycling on the paved, broad-shouldered Icefields Parkway, with a day of hiking in the peaks behind Lake Louise.
Canada: British Columbia
	Okanagan Valley & Kettle Valley Railway	8 days of cycling, with opportunities for hiking and inner tubing. Most of the cycling follows the Kettle Valley Railway Trail and passes dozens of excellent vineyards and wineries.
Canada: Newfoundland
	The Viking Trail Bike & Hike	7 days of big rides and hikes, with a fjord cruise, a whale-watch and iceberg boat trip and all the highlights of Gros Morne National Park. Visit L’Anse aux Meadows Viking settlement. One ride is almost 163 miles (263km), but if you prefer less, the van will pick you up at day’s end!
	The Avalon Peninsula Bike & Hike	8 days, challenging cycling on paved roads, with a hard day of hiking. Be the first to see the sun rise at Cape Spear; see two of North America’s largest sea bird colonies; spot whales and icebergs; and enjoy rambunctious Newfoundland culture in fishing outports.
Canada: Yukon
	Yukon Alaska Multisport	6 days. Challenging cycling through remote passes with river rafting, kayaking and one night of camping in the midnight twilight.
Iceland
	The Dramatic North: Biking	8 days. Challenging cycling on paved and gravel roads, with options to hike and ride horses. This near to the Arctic Circle in June, the sun stays up all night.
	The Fertile South: Biking	8 days of moderate cycling on paved and smooth gravel/lava roads, with options to hike, ride horses, explore Þórsmörk by 4WD, or take a short flight to the Westmann Islands. In June and July the sun never sets, and hotpot soaks are nightly rituals.
Scotland
	West Coast & Inner Hebrides: Biking	7 days of rolling cycling on very quiet one-lane paved roads, with expansive views of lochs and seashores at every turn – a real cyclist’s paradise!
	Loch Ness & Summer Isles: Biking	7 days, with cycling on a mix of hilly and flat paved roads. Highlights include Loch Ness, Culloden battlefield, Glenmorangie distillery, castles, gardens, waterfalls, and plenty of highland and coastal views. Golf options can be arranged before and afterward.
Ireland & N. Ireland
	Antrim Glens & Donegal; Biking	7 days in Ireland’s most welcoming and least-travelled counties. Hilly cycling on paved roads.
	Connemara, Inishmore & the Sky Road; Biking	7 days, cycling on gently rolling paved roads, with a half-day hike. Evenings include small inns, a charming castle, and pub options.
France
	Provence	7 days. Cycling, on paved, quiet Luberon lanes. Some hills, and a very challenging ride up Mont Ventoux, famous as part of the Tour de France route. Take the van uphill if you prefer!
	Dordogne & Lot	8 days, cycling with flat and hilly options. Quiet roads through lush river valleys and beautiful stone villages, with visits to castles, and caves displaying pre-historic paintings.
	Brittany & Normandy	7 days. Moderately easy cycling on level and lightly rolling coastal roads. Visit the Bayeux tapestry, D-day beaches, and the coastal castle village of Mont St. Michel with a walk across the sand flats.
